Daniel Heggenstaller
I am an undergraduate majoring in forest hydrology and soils, planning to graduate in May 2007. After graduation I hope to study silviculture in graduate school or pursue a career in forestry or agriculture. I began working with the Weed Ecology Lab in the spring of 2005 and have worked on a wide range of projects and learned a great deal about weed management and generally had a splendid time! I am currently working on an undergraduate research project looking at seed viability of Japanese knotweed and the importance of water dispersal in the spread of that species. Other personal/potential research interests include soil and stream acidification, invasive species control and forest regeneration. Other than forestry and weed science, I enjoy hunting and fishing, backpacking, and eating hot fudge and peanut butter sundaes.
